Nail Tips and Gel Polish
The most popular nail extensions are nail tips/sticks ons as they are easy to put, faster and offer a quick length to those with smaller nails. Other nail extensions include, acrylics, nail sculpting, tips with gum gel, tips with builder gel.
Nail tips are attached to the natural nail to extend its length and provides room for more nail designs. They can come in many different shapes, sizes, and colors, but the most popular ones are usually clear or white. They only last for 2-4 weeks.
Nail extensions are either built directly onto your nails using a nail tip and gel polish applied on top and cured with a UV or LED light.
When applied correctly, nail tips should last anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks (though we don’t recommend going beyond three weeks between fills).
As with any type of nail extension, improper handling can damage or weaken your natural nails. That said, with careful application, removal and maintenance (all of which we’ll get into more detail below), they are considered a safe way to enhance your tips. Nail extensions involve a little filing and good acetone soaked in cotton wool and foil to lift them off. The process can take some time to remove the extensions.
Please don’t pick or peel at your gel extensions as they grow out. This is the number one cause of damage for most people because you could inadvertently end up taking off the top layers of your natural nail with the gels.

When nails are weak or brittle, acrylic nail tips can be attached to the natural nail to create the illusion of longer natural fingernails.
Once you’ve stuck your nail tips on, you can cut them down and shape them to the length and shape desired before applying your gel or acrylic.
